Although they are the exception and not the rule, there are good people in Hollywood who actually put their money where their mouths are and take care of those who are taking care of us.
Case in point is conservative actor Bruce Willis, who expressed his gratitude for the brave men and women who were battling the massive Beaver Creek wildfire in Idaho back in September of 2015.
Willis, who owns property in Idaho, arranged for a special catered lunch for more than 450 firefighters who had been fighting that blaze and also set up a program to provide drinks and snacks for firefighters fighting other infernos.
“Like all of my fellow Idaho residents, I want to extend my most sincere and grateful thanks to the firefighters and first-responders, which include the helicopter and airplane pilots, who have been flying for day in and day out, who risked life and limb to battle the horrific Beaver Creek Fire in Idaho,” Willis said in a statement.
“You are the men and women who put your lives at risk to protect ours on a daily basis, but it is at moments like these that your heroism comes to the forefront of our nation’s consciousness,” the statement continued.
“On behalf of me and my family, please know that there will never be enough words to express our deepest appreciation for your ever-present dedication and bravery.”
This. This right here is how it is done. The rest of the Hollywood lefties would be wise to take notes and remember this the next time they want to complain about things.
Bruce Willis didn’t have to say anything about the brave men and women fighting the wildfires in Idaho, and even a simple quiet thank-you would have been more than acceptable.
But Willis choose to go above and beyond, showing that he truly cares for and respects the awesome men and women who are sacrificing their time, and sometimes even their lives, to help protect the lives and property of others.
