Developing: North Korea Threatens To Sink Trump’s Naval “Armada”

North Korean state media promised the sinking of President Donald Trump’s “armada” if North Korea felt threatened by the U.S. Navy ships steaming there, Reuters reported.

On Sunday, regime media outlet Rodong Sinmun said that it planned to closely observe the fleet of ships that the administration was planning to deploy off the coast of the communist nation.

The threat came as two Japanese ships joined the carrier strike group in the western Pacific for joint exercises.

“Our revolutionary strong army is keenly watching every move by enemy elements with our nuclear sight focused on the U.S. invasionary bases not only in South Korea and the Pacific operation theater but also in the U.S. mainland,” the Rodong Sinmun reported.

It added that the carrier USS Carl Vinson — the biggest ship in Trump’s so-called armada — was a “gross animal,” adding that striking and sinking it would be “an actual example to show our military’s force.”

Trump had made the “armada” comments during an interview with Fox Business Network earlier this month.

“We are sending an armada, very powerful. We have submarines, very powerful, far more powerful than the aircraft carrier,” Trump told interviewer Maria Bartiromo. “We have the best military people on Earth. And I will say this: (Kim Jong Un) is doing the wrong thing.”

While the propaganda wasn’t the top story in Sunday’s Rodong Sinmun (that honor, no joke, went to a two-page spread discussing a recent inspection of a pig farm by Supreme Leader and Most Exalted Pork Surveyor Kim Jong Un), it was the clearest sign yet that the regime planned to keep up the pressure on Trump’s administration.

It’s yet more proof, however, that what the Trump administration is doing with North Korea is the only reasonable path to take. Kim Jong Un is certifiably crazy. After all, what can you say about a dictator who not only uses state-controlled media to announce that he’s threatening to sink an American aircraft carrier with his tin-can military, but who also decides that the real front-page story is his visit to a hog farm?
